I found Well of Ascension very easy to read. I just seemed to get through it really easily.

A completely different genre to book one, moving away from a ‘heist’ focused fantasy to a more grand battle of heroes and villains epic with far more political and theological themes.

I’ve gotta say though, I hated Zane. Absolute little emo whiney bitch. Wasn’t a huge fan of his crossover portions of the book, but did enjoy him as a standalone character.

There was a maturity from all of the original gang, which felt important given how the gravitas of the story and world changed.

The twists and turns in the Part 6 were masterfully done, and didn’t feel forced or thrown into the plot as an afterthought. Of course they didn’t, it’s Brandon Sanderson.

Again, I’m almost tired of saying this, he’s such a good writer. Inject it into my veins.
